Companies can expect additional enforcement activity and a continued uptick in inspections by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in light of the release of the agency's National Enforcement and Compliance Initiatives for 2024-2027 and the confirmation of David Uhlmann as the Assistant Administrator for the EPA Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA). Timothy J. Sullivan, former EPA Attorney-Advisor, will examine these updated agency priorities and highlight how companies can prepare. Following this discussion, leaders of B&D's air, water, and contaminated sites practices—Tim, Drew Silton, and Nicole Weinstein, respectively—will outline issues specific to these areas that companies should pay particular attention to in the coming year.
