Casey T. Clausen
Casey maintains a diverse environmental and litigation practice, bringing creative solutions to clients’ business goals. Litigation is a cornerstone of Casey’s practice, and he has experience in federal and state courts across the country. His litigation practice includes defense of toxic tort class actions, citizen suits, and enforcement actions, as well as general civil litigation. He advises clients nationwide across industrial sectors on issues including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), among other federal and state environmental statutes. He is passionate about working in an area of the law that involves a range of industries, complex scientific and technical matters, and delivering solutions that address real-world business concerns.
Hilary T. Jacobs
Hilary supports clients in the rapidly changing environmental justice and renewable energy landscapes. She advises clients on how to integrate environmental justice considerations into every aspect of their operations as issues arise and on a more systemic basis. She serves as the Deputy of the Environmental Justice practice group and regularly writes and presents on state and federal environmental justice issues. She is passionate about helping clients effectively and efficiently comply with environmental law and regulations. Her dynamic regulatory practice also includes helping clients address issues arising under federal, state, and local laws related to the development and operation of renewable energy projects, the CWA, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
Jessica L. Kyle
Jess maintains a national practice focused on complex environmental litigation, CERCLA, and insurance matters. Her litigation experience includes defense of toxic tort mass actions and CERCLA liability suits, and she uses her litigation background to address regulatory matters involving solid waste and water permitting issues. Jess also represents corporate clients in Superfund-related mediation processes. She is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee and frequently reads and writes on related topics.
Anthony G. Papetti
Anthony’s practice focuses on complex environmental litigation and product regulatory compliance, particularly in the automotive industry. His experience also includes representing clients at different contaminated properties and remediation matters under CERCLA, similar state statutes, and toxic tort/product liability claims. He has also represented clients in connection with citizen suits brought under the CWA and RCRA. Anthony has experience with data compensation arbitration matters under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) as well. For nearly three years, Anthony was extensively involved in the U.S. Department of Justice-appointed Independent Corporate Compliance Monitor and Audit matter in connection with the Volkswagen AG diesel emissions proceedings, where he gained tremendous insight into sophisticated domestic and foreign corporate compliance management systems.
