B&D Chairman Ben Wilson Joins Major, Lindsey, and Africa’s Beyond Stereotypes Podcast
Beveridge & Diamond Chairman Ben Wilson (Washington, DC) joined Major, Lindsey, and Africa’s (MLA) Beyond Stereotypes podcast. He spoke with Merle Vaughn, MLA’s Managing Director & National Law Firm Diversity Practice Leader, about how and why he developed the Diverse Partners Network, his experience as one of the few Black environmental lawyers in the U.S. especially during the early years of the field’s development, the importance of helping and encouraging the next generation of lawyers, and his work as a law professor at Howard University.
“I believe strongly that you have to be yourself. You can’t be anyone else. There’s no one way to be Black, there’s no one way to practice law, and there’s no right or wrong way. It’s what you choose to do,” he concluded. “Don’t settle. Find your voice and find your opportunity. That’s what I would encourage.”
