B&D Principal Julius Redd will speak on the panel "Don’t Call it a Comeback: How the U.S. Rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement Impacts the Energy Industry", on Saturday, July 24. The panel focuses on the U.S.'s return to the Paris Climate Agreement, and the significant changes expected in the energy industry in the U.S. and abroad as a result. Julius and the other speakers will analyze some of the specific changes and provide an overview of the energy industry’s landscape following the rejoining of the Paris Climate Agreement. Associate Felicia Isaac (Washington, DC) is organizing the Convention's Energy Forum.
Principal Roy Prather (Baltimore) is organizing the section panels, both on Sunday, July 25. In "Hot Topics in Energy and Environmental Law", from 3:00 PM – 4:15pm ET, a panel of in-house counsel and private lawyers will share environmental law developments that are having significant effects in various sectors, including energy. In "Environmental Justice Seminar", from 1:15 PM – 2:45 PM ET, the seminar will be a wide-ranging discussion between leading advocates for environmental justice and an environmental justice practitioner in private practice regarding the recent increased attention on environmental justice by states and the federal government, including through the passage of significant EJ legislation in states such as New York and New Jersey. Associate Jose Almanzar (New York) will speak on this panel.
