Eric Christensen, Erika Spanton, Ben Champion, to Speak During NEBC Business and the Environment Conference

Principal Eric Christensen (Seattle), Principal Erika Spanton (Seattle) and Associate Ben Champion (Washington, DC) will present during the Northwest Environmental Business Council (NEBC)'s Business and the Environment Conference.

Eric will conduct an interview for the keynote presentation, “A View from the Frontlines: NewSun Energy CEO Jake Stephens discusses problems and possibilities of renewable energy development in Oregon," on December 11.

Erika will speak on a panel, "Facility Response and Seismic Risk Mitigation Implementation Plans," on December 11. Piper Roelen (Principal, Environmental Remediation, Landau Associates) and a representative from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality will join Erika on the panel. The speakers will discuss facility planning and preventative measures for seismic events, and examine how regulators provide oversight and review relevant documents. 

Ben will moderate a panel, "Oregon’s Climate Protection Rule: What is Proposed and What to Expect," on December 10. Nicole Singh (Climate Protection Manager, Office of GHG Programs, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality), Carra Sahler (Director, Green Energy Institute, Lewis & Clark Law School), and Sharla Moffett (Senior Policy Director, Oregon Business & Industry) will join Ben on the panel. The panelists will review Oregon’s proposed Climate Protection rule, what it entails, and when impacted entities are expected to comply.

Principal Casey Clausen (Seattle) will also attend the conference.
