Latinvex Names Maddie Boyer a Top Female Lawyer in Latin America for 2020

Principal Maddie Boyer (Austin, TX) was named a "Top Female Lawyer" in Latin America for 2020 by Latinvex, following her earlier Latinvex recognition this year as one of Latin America's "Top 100 Lawyers." This marks the seventh consecutive year that Maddie, founder of the firm's Latin America practice group, has been recognized by Latinvex.

Maddie provides legal analysis, strategic assessments, and compliance counseling on a variety of issues arising under the domestic environmental, health, and safety regulations of most Latin American countries. Her work in Latin America also involves compliance support and project management on regional sustainability issues, including emerging chemicals, circular economy initiatives, and climate change.

Fluent in Spanish, Maddie received a post-graduate degree from La Escuela Libre de Derecho School of Law, Mexico's premier law school, where she wrote and defended a thesis on Mexico's hazardous waste and remediation standards. From 1988-1990, she served in the United States Peace Corps in Guatemala.

Latinvex refers to B&D’s Latin American practice as "one of the key Latin American environmental law practices in the United States” and named B&D to its list of the "Top International Law Firms" for Environment in Latin America. The Top International Law Firm ranking is based on a combination of factors, including value, prominence, and scope of work, as well as references among clients and peers.
