Jimmy Slaughter Appointed to Third Term on DC Bar Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee
The District of Columbia Bar President and Board of Governors have reappointed Principal Jimmy Slaughter (Washington, DC) to the DC Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee for a third two-year term. The Committee assists the Board of Governors in developing the rules that govern many aspects of lawyer conduct and are the foundation of a self-governing profession. Jimmy was first appointed in 2020 and reappointed in 2022.
Jimmy commented, “My four years on the Rules Committee have underscored for me the importance of a self-governing bar and the tremendous skill and attention to detail the DC Bar and the Committee apply to formulating the rules. I look forward to another two years of service to help shape rules that protect the public, advance the profession, and provide clear and fair guidelines for all lawyers.”
