Principal Russ LaMotte (Washington, DC) will present an Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Environmental & Sustainability Network Legal Update webinar, "Preparing for International Plastics & PFAS Restrictions."

Two major international proposals on products and materials restrictions have been initiated this year – the United Nations plastics treaty, which aims to address plastic pollution across the entire lifecycle of a product, and a proposed broad restriction on PFAS uses in the European Union. Both actions would have wide-ranging effects for companies involved in packaging, building and construction, consumer and institutional goods, transportation, electrical and electronic products, and more. During this Legal Update, Russ will provide an overview of both proposals, provide best practices for how industry can prepare for these changes, and outline the potential impacts of these bans on operations in the United States.
