Biography
Lauren leverages her analytical skillset to navigate complex environmental issues for her clients.
She defends clients in enforcement and due diligence matters before state and federal enforcement agencies. Lauren also helps clients navigate regulatory enforcement orders and actions, including agency-ordered cleanup and remediation efforts, compliance audits, and investigations. Lauren has experience with major environmental statutes, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA, and state counterparts. Her litigation experience includes drafting research memoranda, complaints, answers, discovery, motions, briefs, and petitions, with a focus on natural resources issues and writs of mandate.
Before joining B&D, Lauren was an associate at a California firm, working primarily on regulatory matters. Prior to entering law school, she interned for the California Environmental Protection Agency and the Sierra Club, giving her a unique perspective and understanding of environmental regulatory and compliance issues, stakeholders, and key players.
