B&D Lawyers Author and Edit Chapter on 2019 Science-Related TSCA Developments in ABA's Annual Summary
Each year, the American Bar Association (ABA)'s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources publishes a summary of important developments in environmental, energy, and resources law. Beveridge & Diamond principal Mark Duvall (Washington, DC) and associate Sarah Kettenmann (New York, NY) authored the summary of science-related Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) regulatory developments in 2019 for the Science & Technology chapter of the report. This section of the chapter focuses on the status of EPA's risk evaluations of existing and new chemical substances, which are required under TSCA as amended by the 2016 Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act. Sarah Munger (Austin, TX), Beveridge & Diamond associate and Vice-Chair of ABA's Committee on Science and Technology, edited the chapter, which also includes a summary of policy developments in 2019 concerning EPA’s proposed revision of its cost-benefit analysis.
