B&D Achieves ISO 27001 Certification, Affirming Commitment to Global Information Security Standards
B&D is proud to announce its recent achievement of the ISO 27001 certification, a prestigious global standard for information security management systems (ISMS). This certification, valid through March 2027, underscores B&D's dedication to implementing the highest level of security in managing sensitive company and client information.
Global Recognition for Excellence in Security
ISO 27001 certification is renowned worldwide for its stringent criteria in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an ISMS. "Achieving this certification is a testament to B&D’s unwavering commitment to the security of our client data and our systematic approach to managing risks," said David Carns, B&D's Chief Information Officer.
The certification process required B&D to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of information security risks, including the identification of threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts. The firm has successfully implemented an array of security controls to mitigate these risks and established a management process to ensure the effectiveness of these controls is maintained over time.
A Continuous Commitment to Security
The proactive stance of ISO 27001 on continuous improvement reflects B&D’s philosophy of ongoing development and excellence in legal services. "This is a significant milestone for B&D and part of our continuing efforts to promote higher standards of client service and operational security," said Marc Goldstein, Firmwide Managing Principal.
