Maddie Boyer Elected to Veterans Yoga Project Board of Directors

The Veterans Yoga Project (VYP) recently elected Principal Maddie Boyer (Austin) to its Board of Directors. VYP is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing yoga classes and training for veterans and their families suffering from PTSD and mental stress-related issues. In partnership with veterans, active-duty military personnel, student veterans’ organizations, veterans’ treatment courts, and other non-profit organizations, VYP-trained instructors and clinicians provide programs, resources, and connections and teach over 100 free yoga classes each week.

“As the granddaughter of two World War II veterans, I am so proud to be part of such an important organization. I look forward to helping VYP carry out its mission to support veterans and their communities,” said Maddie.

Maddie, chair of B&D’s Pro Bono Committee, holds an E-RYT-200-hour yoga certification, a VYP MRT teacher certification, and is a member of the VYP teacher alliance. In addition to her work with VYP, she maintains a pro bono political asylum and international human rights practice.
