Michael Campinell Receives EBC Ascending Leader Award

On June 21, the Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC) named Associate Michael Campinell (Boston) as a 2024 Ascending Leader. This award recognizes young professionals in the energy and environmental sectors who demonstrate exceptional leadership and industry involvement.

Mike’s primary practice areas are the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Clean Water Act. In his CERCLA practice, Mike works on several matters of national importance, including the Portland Harbor and Berry’s Creek Superfund sites. At B&D, Mike is deputy co-chair of B&D’s CERCLA, Brownfields, & Subsurface Contamination practice group. Mike maintains a very active pro bono practice, where he assists individual and non-profit clients in land conservation, housing, and immigration matters. Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly featured Mike’s dedication to pro bono work in its 2023 Pro Bono Spotlight, and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court named him to the 2023 Pro Bono High Honor Roll.
