Principal Paul Hagen (Washington, DC) will share updates on new international waste shipment controls during the 23rd International Electronics Recycling Congress (IERC 2025).

On January 22, Paul will speak on "Business impacts of new Basel Convention E-waste listings and proposals." Paul will then join a panel discussion that includes Rolph Payet (Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions), Thierry Van Kerckhoven (Umicore), and Martin Zigmond (Reconext), with Jean-Cox Kearns (Lenovo) moderating.

On January 23, Paul will join a panel discussion on “Plastics – where are WEEE?" Emmanuel Katrakis (GALLOO Group) will be the moderator, and Günther Höggerl (MGG Polymers GmbH), Jonathan Perry (Dell), and Jim Puckett (BAN Basel Action Network) will also join the discussion. For many years, Paul has represented clients at Basel Convention and OECD negotiations on international shipments of e-waste and related circularity initiatives.
