Beveridge & Diamond is proud to sponsor the National Clean Water Law Seminar hosted by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), taking place November 14-16 in Savannah, GA. The NACWA Seminar exists to bring together clean water attorneys and professionals, utility leaders and managers, to address critical legal and regulatory issues affecting clean water utilities.
Principal Karen Hansen (Austin) will moderate a panel titled "The Water Quantity-Water Quality Nexus: Two Sides of the Same Coin or Zero-Sum Game?" The panel will take place on November 14 and will address many of the legal and regulatory issues involved in the water quality and quantity nexus including current litigation that could affect water reuse and stormwater control measures.
Principal Richard Davis (Washington, DC) will speak on a panel titled "Develop the Number, We'll Figure Out Implementation Later," also taking place on November 14. The panel will explore the various legal issues surrounding opportunities in the Clean Water Act for flexibility and sustainability in implementing water quality goals.
Richard will additionally speak at a roundtable session during the NACWA National Water Enforcement Workshop, taking place November 16-17 in Savannah, GA following the National Clean Water Law Seminar. Richard's session will take place on November 16 and is titled "Innovative Practices for Avoiding and Resolving Enforcement."
