Beveridge & Diamond is proud to sponsor the American Chemistry Council's Annual GlobalChem Conference, taking place in Washington, DC, from April 6-8, 2020. GlobalChem is one of the industry's leading events focused on chemical regulation and provides a unique educational opportunity for chemical industry professionals.
The event includes a 2-day Conference and 1-day Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Fundamentals Workshop. GlobalChem 2020 will explore the expectations for TSCA implementation in the next five to ten years; 2020 priorities for EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention; international trade policy; emerging contaminants (e.g., PFAS and microplastics); challenges and opportunities raised in SAICM/ICCM5; global data sharing and more.
Principal Mark Duvall (Washington, DC) will speak on the panel, Contaminants of Emerging Concern: Preparing for the Future on Tuesday, April 7. Allegations of chemical contamination are emerging in various media, including water supplies, and personal care products. This panel will address these issues that affect a range of chemistries, including PFAS substances, microplastics, and pharmaceuticals. The session will discuss the best case scenario for TSCA implementation in the next 5 to 10 years and how we can set ourselves up for success down the road on key implementation issues.
Principal Ryan Carra and Law Clerk Jack Zeitman will also attend the conference.
