Steve Jawetz Featured in Bloomberg Tax Podcast on Superfund Tax Debate
Principal Steve Jawetz (Washington, DC) joined Bloomberg Tax’s Daily Tax Report podcast for the episode “Infrastructure Bill Reignites Superfund Tax Debate,” where he discussed the implications of the Senate-passed infrastructure bill’s Superfund tax provisions. Steve argues that the tax is unfairly targeted and should not be characterized as a “polluter pays” tax, as the funds raised are largely intended to finance cleanups at sites where no financial viable parties with potential liability have been identified.
