Barbara Marvin to Speak on Multi-District Litigation at EECMA Annual Conference
Of Counsel Barbara Marvin (Washington, DC) will speak on a panel, "Handling Multi-District Litigation in Federal Court," at the Environmental & Emerging Claim Manager Association (EECMA)'s 38th Annual Conference, on April 5. The panelists will examine the benefits and detriments of transfer and consolidation of environmental and mass toxic tort claims from multiple federal district courts into multidistrict litigation in a single court. They will provide actionable insights for entities involved in these suits, explain the applicable rules and procedures, and discuss proposed changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; as well as the ongoing rulemaking process and its possible effects on future multidistrict litigation.
